Dinners
The most popular way to connect at Base is through our matched dinners. We go to great lengths to ensure that the people around your table are of the utmost integrity and intrigue. Of course, you can expect a fantastic dining experience, but the food will never be more than a culinary canvas—a foundation from which lively conversation and genuine connections will flourish. The meal will always feature a chef’s prix fixe menu, which you will pre-pay for in our app. Tip is always included.
Cadence
To get the most out of Base, we suggest that you attend a least one Base experience per month. At each gathering, you will be matched with a multitude of high-caliber, interviewed, and vetted members. The more experiences you attend, however, the faster we can connect you with someone truly life changing. But friendships, and genuine kinship are not cultivated overnight. By initiating relationships, and reconnecting at Base events throughout the year, you can expect to walk away with a completely reinvigorated social life.
Etiquette
Connection and consideration are the fuel that drives everything we do at Base. In contrast to everyday life, there are no surface level interactions here. Therefore, you will be expected to show up promptly, on-time, to every Base experience you attend. Tardiness is disrespectful to your fellow community members. You will also always arrive at your best, mentally sharp, and ready to contribute to the evening. You'll be ready to speak, but just as important, you'll come ready to listen and learn. And just as surely as you adhere to our standards of etiquette, you can be assured that the rest of our community will as well.
Other social clubs are quite predictable and fall into just two categories.
First are the co-working spaces that call themselves communities. They’re facilities that promise you'll be surrounded by interesting people but make no effort to introduce you to one another. It's a great place to be alone, together.
The second type of social club is the one where you go to be seen. Where all the other members have their noses tilted ever so slightly upward. It's the kind of place where they don’t remember your name. Sure, people might be "connecting", but the quality of conversations are tragically low.
Base, on the other hand, is founded first and foremost on genuine connection. Every Dinner, Social, Circle, and Explore experience we create is designed to bring out the best in you and your fellow members. There is no passive membership, no sidelines.
Finally, we don’t choose our members based on their Instagram or LinkedIn profiles. Instead, we accept only those who display radical integrity and a desire for intellectual and social growth.

While catching up with friends can be fun, it’s often easy and repetitive. We tend to stick to the same topics with the same people, and this can go on for years. Our matching algorithm is what truly sets this experiences apart. By learning about you—your temperament, style, and proclivities—we match you with other members who are likely to complement you—and more importantly, likely to expand your horizons.
